Broadcast Technician – Los Angeles
Sim Video Los Angeles, a division of Sim Video Productions, is seeking a RELIABLE Broadcast Video Electronics Technician to work in our Hollywood rental facility. The ideal candidate will be someone who is detailed-oriented and capable of multi-tasking in a busy, demanding environment and able to repair and maintain camera equipment to a high technical standard.
DUTIES
• Maintenance and repair cameras, VTR’s, monitors and camera accessories on a day to day basis
• Coordinating repairs with the technical, warehouse and booking departments
• Coordinating off-site repairs with outside Vendors
• Keep and maintain maintenance records for all equipment
• Learn and use R2 equipment booking program
QUALIFICATIONS
- A minimum 2 years experience in a broadcast environment
- Graduate of recognized broadcast /electronics program
- Proficiency
in telephone and computer skills with emphasis on Microsoft word & excel for both PC & MAC
- Knowledge of SD & HD systems and formats including DVCam, Betacam, DBeta, XDCAM, HDXDCAM, HD Cam, HD CAMSR, DVC Pro & DVC Pro HD
- Excellent communication and service skills
